I was very sorry to hear the passing of Ch. Cartier Monzerat Calif at Gilcoru.He was imported from Sweden in May 1999, we first saw him in the show ring here in the Uk of the Summer of 2000, where he won his 1st RCC under Storm Jones and his 1st CC under R Vuorinen Calif went on to win 33 CC's and his last from Karmen Kingston (Australia) in 2004. All his cc were won under different judges. He also won 3 groups and several placing's He won Top Briard 2001,02 &03 and Top Sire 2005,06 & 07 Most importantly he passed on many of his assets to his progeny, he has sired 4 UK Champions and several CC winners and his progeny had tallied up to just over 50 cc's to date between them CAlif himself was black dominant, no doubt if he had produced fawns he would have sired many more litters, his progeny are very much of a type and their progeny in turn are winning well in the show ring both dawns and black. At home he was known for his wonderful temperament sharing with two other males as well as bitches without a cross word. He will leave another huge gap at Gilcoru. that he in turned filled for ch Gilcoru Passion D'Brie after her long show career ended in 1999 after collecting 36 CC's. Thinking of you at this sad time, the owners, breeders, friends and even the judges as he touched so many people both in and out of the briard world.

Not only has he attained a wonderful show record in the time
he has been with us, his temperament is superb, his eyes are
BVA/KC tested clear and his hip score is 2/2.
Calif has also proved himself as a stud dog
with 4 Champions acheived already and other CC & Res CC
winning progeny!
