When your puppy gets older and is used to walking on a lead properly we recommend you use the flexi lead when you take him for a walk. The one trait all Beagles have is they do not always listen when you call them to come back. It does not matter how many training classes you take your puppy to or how well you think you have trained him to come back, if they see something that interests them on the other side of the field they will be off in a flash. This does not just apply to puppies even older adults, even veterans have the same traits. If you are going to leave your Beagle off the lead make sure you are in a well fenced field or park that has a gate that they cannot get out.
We recommend puppy shampoo for your puppy as it is very mild, although you should not have to bath your puppy very often there will be a time that he needs a bath, therefore it is best to get him used to being bathed from an early age otherwise you may have to consider a mac and wellies at bath time.
Vet beds are excellent, they keep your puppy warm, and if he has an accident it will soak through to the papers underneath and keep the top fleece dry. You can also machine wash the vet bed and they come up as good as new.
Stainless steel bowls are better than any other bowl, plastic bowls can be chewed and ceramic dishes can be broken and cut the puppy. On this point, stainless steel bowls are very hygienic but they need to be washed in warm soapy water after every meal and the water dish needs to be washed once a day and clean water added.
